Fog troubles every activity

02, Jan 2018 By shakeel ahmad

KANPUR: Fog is troubling every person. “Are you coming out of the car?” asked the man. “What?” Her head moved quickly to the centre of attention. They were just reaching a posh restaurant for attending a special musical programme on the New Year here.  But they were also annoyed with the huge fog covering the surrounding location densely. It has always been hard to put in plain words exactly what the type of foggy weather is.

It is a thick cloud of tiny water droplets suspended in the atmosphere at or near the earth’s surface which obscures or restricts the visibility to a greater extent than mist, strictly restricting visibility to 1 Km. It has affected many human activities, it is a type of low-lying watery cloud. Side by side invisibility owing to this has always been a curse in usual winter. Fog continues to severely hit states like Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, New Delhi and Rajasthan respectively.

If the road users fail to tread on the road, the air travel also disrupts. The rail traffic is also not safe from the fog as we were continuously coming across the cancellations of the trains. The flights are not possible due to visibility level much below the required visual point. Accidents are occurring every day. Students are not able to attend the schools. Intense fog and cold have worsened our routine lives.

However, amidst these incongruities a few jailbirds have taken advantage of the haze fled away from the jail. Three crooks namely Kalua, Sanjay and Rahul found an opportunity to run away in the thick cover of the mist from Mathura district jail on Sunday late night. These criminals took advantage of poor visibility and escaped from barrack no 17. The Jail superintendent said that the search operation was underway.
