Politicians of India have made Abdul Kalam happy. They have began a daily ritual of keeping more and more books around his statue. This has now snowballed into a Library.
Soon after PM Modi left a Bhagwad Gita book next to Abdul Kalam statue, The islamic society of India left a Bible next to Gita. Then the Luthern Mission Church took the secular step of leaving a Quran next to the Bible. This wonderful sorority acts of politicians and public societies have trigged a chain reaction.
The leftwing communist CPI(M) from Kolkata has couriered Karl Marx’s book on communism to Kalam memorial. The spokesman for CPI(M) said “Kalam respected us atheists as much as he did hindus and muslims. Therefore, Karl Marx must stay close to his statue”.
The AIADMK government in Tamil Nadu passed a resolution that very soon a book on the jailed criminal Sasikala Natarajan will be written by Dinakaran. It will be sent to Kalam memorial for addition. CM Edapadi Palanisamy said “We all fondly remember Sasikala when she ruled the state. Hence her book should be in that place”.
Central Tax Minister Arun Jaitley assured that “we will send the entire collection of 1400 tax manuals on GST to Kalam Library”.
The Abdul Kalam party known as “Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam Vision India Munnetra Kalagam Party” leader Ponraj announced “I will soon prepare a party vision agenda by the year 2030 and send it Kalam Library”.
The RSS leader Bhagwat said “Quran is a heavy book. To balance it we will ship 500 copies of Mahabharata to the Library immediately!”
PM office said “Kalam was an internationally admired President. Our BJP appointed him! To celebrate it the PM will undertake a short 30 day tour of America in August!”
The education cabinet minister said “we will remove CBSE chapter on, I forgot, who wrote my experiments with truth. We will replace it with an autobiography of Sri Sri Ravishankar!”
