As soon as the exit poll results were out, the government of Kerala was heard in discussion to subsidise Burnol, an antiseptic cream for burns that provides immediate relief. The government feared many of people in the state would be needing Burnol more than ever after May 23.

Taking a cue from the Kerala Government, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu are likely to subsidise the antiseptic cream ahead of election results.

“We had to take a loan to buy Burnol cream back in 2014, and we are still in debt,” said a poor man from Wayanad, Kerala.

In the midst of all this, Morepen is reportedly planning to hike Burnol’s price.
