Growing popularity of IPL and UP assembly election

19, Apr 2016 By @pK

Uttar Pradesh. Seeing the growing popularity of IPL in India and the lack of representation from all cadres, Mayawati has asked for reservation to bring dejected people close to the popular game. IPL needs reservation at all fronts. This is seen as her last stunt to win upcoming UP assembly election.

She received support from all political parties, Mulayam Singh went few steps forward and asked for reservation on 50% match tickets at half the price.

IPL is becoming more popular than election news or even bigger than the issue of reservation. IPL governing body has declined to comment on the issue but our internal sources confirmed that the body has no problem if it does not affect their TRPs.

MC Mandal, an aspiring IIT students have even come up with a formula to implement reservation in cricket. He says,”It’s very simple, you only have to ensure that at least 50% of playing 11 (6 players) are from reserved category and ask for caste certificate while distributing tickets. If you can make a doctor, engineer, IAS and IPS through reservation then why not a cricketer?”

Sachin Dasdulkar has rebuked the reservation thought and has asked politicians to first implement reservation in politics. He says,”There should be no reservation in cricket, it is the only space where a Brahmin can excel without academics”.

Government has assured to place the bill in the upcoming session of the parliament and like always there will be no political party who will oppose helping of poor dalits. Official spokesperson from PMO office said that cricket is the next step of reservation, Modiji will ensure that reservation becomes our way of living. Railway Tickets, Private Jobs and many more items are on our list.

However, government denied any steps to allow reservation in Personal Security Guards, Indian Army, Navy or Airforce and has cited security reasons for it.
