KANPUR: At last the decision has been made and choice has also been declared by none other than Arvind Kejriwal. His companion Kumar Vishwas failed to get approval from the party for contesting the Upper House elections due on January 16.His very name was not even discussed as was disclosed by the Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodiya adding that as many as 11 names were under detailed discussion.
For Kumar Vishwas, it was not the most appealing decision but the three names remained the only majority choice. He equated his disregard by way of the sacrificial victim. The 8 members out of the total nine members present at the PAC meeting voted for Sanjay Singh, Sushil Gupta and ND Gupta respectively. This was the fact as Kumar Vishwas has now identified his political status.
Making a sarcastic remark about the party convenor Arvind Kejriwal, he emphatically said that this sort of martyrdom was acceptable to him. But he hastened to add that there was no need to insult the dead body. What he particularly attached was that he had to pay for speaking truth.
Further, he maintained that nothing in the party used to move on without the Kejriwal’s will. It was quite hard to continue in the party after differences with him. This was the principle of every political party more or less as we come across.
Criticising the two candidates, ND Gupta and Sushil Gupta he stated that they were voices of revolutionaries and great activists.
Maintaining his position as a faithful party worker he stated that he had obviously faced the penalty of speaking the truth. His views on surgical strikes and various other political issues appeared to have upset the party high command. He never thought he would say this. But he was saddened by his neglect.
