Lalu laal hai matti ka echoes

24, Dec 2017 By shakeel ahmad

KANPUR: Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Yadav’s conviction is the biggest news of the passing year. The CBI court has found him and 15 others guilty of corruption in the fodder scam. His son Tejaswi Yadav called the case a tragedy of errors while the Union Law Minister Ravishankar Prasad has maintained the law catches up if one is absorbed into corruption.

Lalu said, Na jor chalega latthi ka, Lalu laal hai Matti Ka. He feels like being alone that allows him to become strong, resilient and independent. Perhaps he would follow too many inspirational ideas for convincing himself that he is actually now comfortable within the four walls.  It is not unwise to believe the people just about you who tell you that you are actually winning by being on your own and not being around the staunch supporters.

Being a stronger leader of Bihar, his political position was never insignificant, notwithstanding, did he ever think, after his severance of ties with the JDU, that how he would have to discover his political grip once again? It was the third time when he was sent to the jail in a case relating to misappropriation of above Rs 85 lakh from Deoghar Treasury between 1991 and 1994.

The RJD leader got charged in several cases related to the scam, in which Rs 9000 crore were embezzled from the state exchequer for fictitious medicines and fodder for the cattle over a period of twenty years.

His sudden disappearance from the political scene somehow weakens the Congress party as there was now created a political vacuum in the state. The ruling combination of NDA will certainly move ahead in strengthening its position so long as Lalu’s absence exists.  As many as 40 parliamentary seats invite the attention of the state politicians to occupy themselves into the political moves diligently.
