New Delhi: Police has swooped in a queue outside a Bank in the capital city and held a 30-year old Engineer under suspicion of helping black money hoarders.

The engineer in news, Prakash Sharma, an employee of Zigzag Technologies, was taken to an unspecified location for initial investigation. Later, Police took him to court and remanded him in judicial custody.

Respective State Police has requested people to alert their helpline if they spot any Engineer standing in queue outside Bank or ATM, after 8th of every month.
Respective State Police has requested people to alert their helpline if they spot any Engineer standing in queue outside Bank or ATM, after 8th of every month.

Addressing the media outside the court, Inspector Akram said, “After the Demonetization announcement, we had been rounding up suspects who were roaming outside banks to disburse old 500 and 1000 rupee notes to be exchanged at the bank. Thankfully, the indelible ink was applied to people who came for exchange, but now, the black money hoarders have taken the route of depositing money and withdrawing it out of others’ accounts by giving commission. And, under that cloud of suspicion, we have arrested Prakash outside the Bank today.”

“Presence of Prakash outside the bank aroused our suspicion,” Akram continued, “Usually traders, small businessmen and doctors have a flow of cash even at the end of the month. But Prakash told that he is an IT employee. How could an Engineer, that too an IT employee, have money at the end of the month? So, we suspected him to be in league with the black money hoarders and took him into custody. We will be interrogating him vigorously for the next few days over the source of money.”

Many Engineers, including IT employees, have lauded the efforts of Police in nabbing the lone Engineer who went to the bank on month end. “He has disgraced the whole Engineering family. We anyways run out of money on 7th of every month. When Modi announced Demonetization on November 8th, Engineers were the only clan who welcomed the move with open hearts and empty wallets. We never have money in hand or accounts, so what impact does Demonetization have on us?”, claimed an Engineer, working in Samcar Systems.

“‘Do you know why Engineer went to bank on end of month’ is our version of ‘why the chicken crossed the road'”, said an IT employee from Gurugram. She continued, “Even there can be an answer for chicken crossing the road, but there can be no answer for ‘Engineer going to Bank or ATM on month end’. Hope Delhi Police gets an answer out of Prakash, as it will solve that billion dollar question.”
