BCCI in a press conference last night highlighted the reason for excluding Indian cricket team all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who had displayed good form in the recently held ICC world cup. He will be seen playing against the side in the tour.
The Chair said that they have received requests from two players for not including their names in the squad to be declared against West Indies.
“One request was from the virtual captain MS Dhoni who has expressed his interest in serving his army regiment for two months and another was from Hardik Pandya who wants to go back to his roots” said one of the BCCI official on the condition of disclosing his name. “We have accepted both these requests as they are in the interest of respective cricketing nations.”
West Indies Cricket Board has happily accepted to include Hardik in Playing XI as he possesses necessary characteristics of being a West Indies cricket player, be it style, power-hitting or any controversy.
He would just need to get a fancier haircut and few more tattoos.
Meanwhile, Andre Russell is now unsure of his position in playing XI and has contacted Karan Johar for the reasons unknown.
