Virat's returns with positive note

27, Feb 2018 By shakeel ahmad

India’s cricket team tour of South Africa ended with satisfactory end results. The cricketers faced mixed experiences in the itinerary. Their criticism was also at its height when they lost matches to the South African team. Virat Kohli’s condemnation even annoyed Ravi Shastri. It was he who had spoken of those experienced critics who left no stone unturned in condemning the bad performance sharply. He raised question after the team’s triumph in other matches.

The second T-20 match remained exciting with pounding performance by Klassen and Duminy while the third match cannot be forgotten for South African debutant Christian Jonker and old-hand Farhaan Behardien. Although they attempted to chase the set mark yet their efforts could not advance far beyond the target.

Our cricket team got a  nice victory by whole 7 runs in absence of its captain Virat Kohli. It scored a total of 172 runs after losing seven wickets.

The Indian cricketers established first win in one-day series on the overseas ground in South Africa The hosts started slowly with 25 runs for one wicket after the power play and 52 runs for two wickets in ten over. They failed to prevent India’s rising pressure in view of their poor depth and slack ability. The captain JP Duminy definitely made the highest score of 55 runs while new player Jonker completed as many as 49 runs in just 24 balls.

Both the players Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina showed good shots on their respective fours and sixes. Dhawan scoring the tally of 47 runs was declared out in a mad effort to complete his second run on a hook over Tabraiz Shamsi’s ball. Dala made him victim by his direct hit from deep midwicket. Dumini’s unreasonable decision to field first brought eventually no rewarding advantage to his capable team as the defeat finally disappointed him badly.
